When you release the trigger, rotation stops within 1/2-second to help avoid damage or injury from kickback.

Finally, there are three LED work lights at the bottom of the auger to help you dig in low-light conditions.

Should You Buy It?

The Greenworks 60V earth auger certainly has the kind of torque we see from high-end Pro models, so it has the power to get the job done quickly. It doesn’t require much maintenance, doesn’t put out fumes, and is significantly quieter. Plus, it’s far easier than using a manual post-hole digger.

However, the lack of kickback control is something to consider. With so much power, you need to have the strength and confidence to manage the tool when you’re digging around roots and rocks.
